In Carthage, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Missouri vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8:30 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Rodriguez Tire & Auto at (417) 310-2059; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Busy shop that could probably use more workers. Slow but thorough. Got us out of a jam with a couple of used tires.

Had very shady experience with this garage! We settled on price to fix vehicle they worked on it. Besides not getting any kinda refund in the deposit due to understandable circumstances. Had to get it towed by another in order to get it home! Lack of communication is a huge issue here

I'm from Minnesota, I had blown a head gasket and really burnt up my engine on 49. White smoke from my tail pipes...it was bad...I had recently got work done on my truck before it happed...I needed new lifters and camshaft so I had my local auto repair do it and it was supposed to be all good...well, come to find out..going to help my mom who is 70 yes old move from Oklahoma to Minnesota, we were white smoked in missouri, my pick up is a Chevy Silverado, 2019...all bells, whistles, 111,000. Miles and it blew....hmmmm....should never gotten to that point, seeing that we would need a mechanic I searched on Google and called the nearest mechanic to me, it was after hours but someone answered... God, was definitely helping us... Rodriguez tire and auto....bless their whole family...they have been so helpful as in going out of their way to ensure we had a place to stay, and rides to get there...not only the place to stay but they also gave us a ride to get our rental... our experience is beyond just customer service, they treated us strangers as family. We can't thank them enough...if there were 10 stars...I'll give them 100...no one wants to break down in a state they have no one.

In June 2025 my family was traveling back to the Kansas City metro area when we had a tire tpms leakage emergency. This shop was the nearest one to us at 5:00 pm on a Friday that was still open at the time. In fact, they were closed by the time we arrived, yet they still helped us. I was traveling with my granddaughter and her grandmother. The staff made us feel completely at ease and very accommodated for our every need. Our granddaughter was only 6 years old, yet they were patient with her as she played in the shop's parking lot. They sourced the part nearby and installed it post haste. The charge for the repair was very reasonable, and we were on our way in no time. Thank you mi hermanos.

Got us in the same day and very honest mechanic! We thought it was the alternator, turns out our battery was just loose. 100% will return again and recommend.
